Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick - Cool Brown | Colourpop Supernova Shadow - Walk This Way | Cover FX Power Play Foundation - N40 | Cover FX Power Play Concealer - P Medium 2 | Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette
For the month of September, I have both new and old beauty products I’ve been loving. I work for a beauty retailer, so I bring home a lot of free products and samples every month. I tend to rotate out my makeup pretty often because of this. Just a quick disclaimer, all products I will be talking about in this post have been bought by me.
I recently fell in love with the new Cover FX Power Play Foundation and Concealer. I have been wearing them all month, and they are seriously my new favorites. The Cover FX foundation is matte, sweat-proof, transfer-proof, and has built in pollution defense. It’s a perfect foundation for everyday wear. The consistency is a little thicker than I prefer, but when you apply it with a damp makeup sponge, it leaves a nice natural matte finish on my skin. The Power Play concealer is what I’ve really been loving out of the two products. I’m really picky with my concealers, and I’m so happy I finally found a new one I love aside from Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer. Compared to Shape Tape, the Power Play concealer is more lightweight and thinner in coverage. This means it’s perfect for me to wear everyday. I like my concealers to offer full coverage but not look cakey under my eyes at the end of the day, and this concealer does not disappoint. If you’re looking for a new foundation of concealer to try out, I highly recommend Cover FX Power Play.
Another new product I fell in love with recently is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in the shade Cool Brown. I love Anastasia Beverly Hills products because they are always high quality and long lasting. I love their matte lipstick because the formula is one the best matte lipstick formulas I’ve personally ever tried. I’m one of those people who love matte lippies that are so matte they feel like cement on your lips. I need my lippies to last all day, and this one definitely does. I usually wear matte liquid lipsticks, but I have switched over to lipstick bullets now for this formula alone. It doesn’t budge, it’s highly pigmented, and is one of my new favorite cool nudes. Cool Brown is the perfect fall shade, so if you see it at your nearest Sephora, I suggest looking into it.
The last two products I’m gonna talk about have been in my makeup collection for a while, but haven’t really been used as often as I would like. Whenever I feel like doing my makeup for work or when I’m going out on the weekends, I’ve recently been using my Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette, and Colourpop’s Supernova Liquid Eyeshadow. This duo has been my go to all month long, and I’m a little mad at myself for not using this palette as much as I should be. You have all the colors you need in the Just Peachy Mattes palette to create the most natural looks to a matte smokey eye. The colors I use the most are peach tea, peach cobbler, fresh picked, and peach tart. Colourpop’s Supernova Eyeshadow is the best metallic shadow to add on your lid when you want that pop of sheen to stand out against all the matte shades. It’s only $7 as well, so how can you not love this product. If you’ve been iffy about trying out liquid metallic eyeshadows and don’t want to spend over $20 on one, Colourpop is the way to go.
